The Vision Behind "The Color Of Dance"
On the date of September 26th, 2023, an eagerly awaited masterpiece graced the world’s bookshelves- “The Color Of Dance.” This book was sprung from the creativity and dedication of none other than Takiyah Wallace-McMillian, the innovator behind the Brown Girls Do Ballet movement, who wears the crowns of both Founder and Executive Director. Her mission and ambition woven into the vision of the book is to reshape our perception of dance particularly for individuals of color.
The Color Of Dance serves as a model of empowerment and a living manifestation to people from all walks of life to be able to discover their own reflection within its pages.
