Q&A With iDANZ, "2023 Prima Ballerina of the Year" Ariana Ramirez

Back in December of 2022, Brown Girls Do Ballet partnered with a local studio in Dallas, Texas called iDANZ to help raise proceeds through a photo contest. The campaign was titled, “United we DANZ” and its objective was to raise awareness in the dance community by sharing collaborative efforts in creating well-rounded, professionals out of the performers at iDANZ. Additionally, the proceeds benefited Brown Girls Do Ballet and The Mom Crew Foundation.

All selected finalists participated in a photoshoot with Brown Girls Do Ballet to produce their own photo concept within the confines of the BGDB theme. Following the photo shoot, the ladies promoted their photos in an effort to win votes and collect donations. The highest-raising dancer will be named the 2023 Prima Ballerina of the Year and will receive many perks!

After all of the votes and donations were collected, the fierce 6-year-old Ariana Ramirez was named 2023 Prima Ballerina of the Year! We sat down to talk with Ariana about the experience!
