About Our Organization

Q: How do I join your organization? 

A: There are a number of ways to be a part of Brown Girls Do Ballet. Please refer to the “Get Involved” 

section of this blog post for more details. 

Q: Where is your studio located? 

A: Unfortunately, we are not a dance studio. We are a non-profit organization. However, if you are looking for a diverse studio in your area, please visit our Directory. If there is not a studio listed that is close to your area, please send an email to info@browngirlsdoballet.com with the subject line “Studio Location Recommendation.” We will try to assist you in locating a diverse studio near you. Make sure to include your city and state of preference!

Q: How can I donate to your organization?

Q: Do you have any job openings or internship opportunities? 

A: Please check our “Jobs/Internships” webpage or our social media pages for posted opportunities! 

Q: Do I have to live in Texas to use your services or qualify for your organization?

A: We operate throughout the United States and the UK. Please explore our website for specific 

details of your program of choice. 

Q: I would love to find out more about your organization. 

A: Please explore our website or check out our social media pages to see what amazing things we are doing for our Brown Girls. Q: Do you know where to find flesh-toned leotards or shoes? 

A: We often recommend a company named Blendz. Click here to visit their website. 

Q: Do you know where I can find a diverse studio in my city?

A: Please visit our Directory. If there is not a studio listed that is close to your area, please send an email to info@browngirlsdoballet.com with the subject line “Studio Location Recommendation.” We will try to assist you in locating a diverse studio near you. Q: I am a struggling parent (or dancer). Do you offer assistance with dance fees or uniforms?

A: We pride ourselves on having our Supply Closet program, where young dancers can receive free supplies donated by businesses and individuals. Please visit our “Supply Closet” webpage for more information. 

Q: I have been a dancer for several years. Do you offer scholarship opportunities for incoming college students? 

A: We do offer scholarship opportunities for college students. Please visit our “Scholarships” webpage for more information.

Q: My dancer is having “dancer’s block” and is no longer motivated. Can you help? 

A: Have your dancer check out our Instagram or Facebook page to see others just like her! We also have our show, Relevé on Facebook Watch! Lastly, check out our Brown Ballerina Blog for tips, motivation, and stories of other dancers doing great things in the ballet community. Hopefully, it will rekindle her flame for dance! 

Contacting Us

Q: I contacted you through Facebook Messenger or Instagram but did not receive a response. Is there another way to contact you? 

A: We ask that you wait 48-72 hours for a response, not including weekends. You can also send an email to info@browngirlsdoballet.com

Q: We love what you are doing and would like to interview you. How do we contact you?

A: Please send a detailed email to press@browngirlsdoballet.com with the subject line “Interview Request.” We look forward to hearing from you soon! 

Q: My ballerina has an amazing story and I would like to share it. How do I contact you?

A: We would love to hear about her story! Please send an email to info@browngirlsdoballet.com with the subject line "Amazing Ballerina Stories.” We look forward to hearing from you soon! 

Q: Do you have any online dance classes or workshops available? 

A: We post different online dance classes or workshops from some of our preferred dancers or studios. Continue to check our Instagram or Facebook page for upcoming events. 

Q: I am interested in representation from BG Casting. What do I need to do? 

A: To submit yourself for representation, please email a headshot, resume, and a dance demo to casting@browngirlsdoballet.com. Incomplete submissions will not be accepted for review. 


Get Involved

Q: I (or my daughter) am new to ballet. Do you offer mentorship? 

A: Yes! Please visit our “Ambassador/Mentorship Program” webpage for more information. 

Q: I (or my daughter) have been dancing for several years. How do we become an ambassador?

A: Every year, we accept applications for new Brown Ballerina ambassadors. Please visit our “Ambassador/Mentorship Program” webpage for more information.

Q: I am the owner of a dance studio. How do I become a preferred member of your organization? 

A: Please send an email to info@browngirlsdoballet.com with the subject line “Preferred Studio.” 

Q: I am really interested in your organization. Do you have volunteer opportunities?

A: We do not have any volunteer opportunities at the moment. Please continue to explore our website or social media for posted opportunities. 

Q: I would like to be a sponsor. How do I find more information? 

A: We have several opportunities to be a sponsor for our organization. Please visit our “Become a Sponsor” webpage for more information. 

Q: I am a photographer. I would love to shoot one of your events. 

A: Please send an email to info@browngirlsdoballet.com with a subject line of "Photog Opportunities".

Q: We are having a show and would love for your girls to perform. 

A: Unfortunately, we are not a dance company or studio. We are a non-profit organization. If you are looking for us to support you in another way, please send a detailed email to info@browngirlsdoballet.com 

Q: How do I apply to be a model or spokesperson for your brand? 

A: Please send an email to info@browngirlsdoballet.com with your name, age, city/state, dance studio information, and social media info. We have a number of talented brown ballerinas who may or may not be featured on our social media throughout the year. Thank you for your inquiry!
