Tamara Jones

Tamara is a native Houstonian who has worked in higher education for nearly 15 years. She is immersed in all things related to student affairs administration, including advising, mentoring, housing, crisis management, orientation, and graduation. She even lives among college students at an elite university! She has a Master of Arts in Sociology, and has studied race, culture, and institutions in-depth. She champions underrepresented minorities and helps connect them to resources and opportunities in all areas of life. She enjoys reading, color consulting, planning her next vacation, and spending time with her daughters. Tamara is a founding board member of Brown Girls Do, Inc.
